不过单位会再电影下线后第一时间在放映室公映,超过32%观众给了10分

这是在IMDb上看到的评论。
I was so stunned by this movie. I’ve seen the director’s other films
(Hero, Flying Daggers) but they do not even compare to this masterpiece.
It surpasses every other WW2 movie. Schindler’s List, Saving Private
Ryan, Letters from Iwa Jima, none of them even come close.

我只是从IMDB搬几条评论。
ps,萤火虫之墓的全球观众评分是8.5,来自114,907个用户,超过32%观众给了10分,中位数是9分。

This is one of the best movies I have watched.

There is more emotion, action, beauty, and tragedy here than any movie I
can think of. It is visually breathtaking, emotionally inspiring and
heartbreaking, constantly thrilling, and always totally believable.

I simply admire Lasse Hallstrom’s directing skills and how he tells
stories. The way he narrates his thoughts is so overly charming.

This is Christian Bale’s best performance. Better than Batman, Psycho,
Machinist, Fighter, all of them. I think he may be the next DeNiro.

Ranked #64 in the top 250

It is an unbelievable story, and so realistic, so down to earth,
something that you could easily relate to.

It simply must be seen. It deserves every Academy Award. Every single
one. It’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen in my life.

The best movie you’ll never want to see again

A lot of us come from humble background, small town, Endora is just a
miniature representation of it all.

上班族没这么多时间看电影,不过单位会再电影下线后第一时间在放映室公映。不过现在我决定不看了。
另:《鸿门宴》比豆瓣的评分要好很多。

I had the fortune of being able to see Hotaru no Haka on the big-screen
in Seattle a couple of years ago. It was truly the high-point of my film
festival excursions. At the end of the movie, there was silence,
absolute and total silence in the theater – and then, only an occasional
sniffle until the end credits had finished rolling and the house lights
came up. It would’ve seemed almost disrespectful to profane the silence
with words.

When you were in your teens, I bet you would have had the feeling of
being trapped, not to mention those who have ‘burdens’ on their
shoulders. Jonny Depp transcends that feeling, I want to get out and
live my life, but I’ve got to be a responsible and a good man to live
for my family, for every one of them.

Seeing a movie like this really changes attitudes about war – about who
really suffers, and that the honor and glory is shallow comfort when you
contemplate what has been lost in the struggle.

While Leonardo Dicarpio just possessed a mind of a five-year-old. He was
acting so real that I finally see him as a great actor. I used to think
that it was luck that he got those parts in all those films. It was not.
He has a lot of talent in what he is doing.

I’ve made the comment to my friends that if you ever see someone who
isn’t moved (usually to tears) by this movie, you’ve found someone
without a soul. As difficult as it is to watch, turn off the phone, dim
the lights, and immerse yourself in the film with ones you love – you
will be a better person for it in the end.

And I was amazed by the age difference between Jonny and Leo. It struck
me about the age difference from this early film.

There are many other reviews of this movie, and most of them are
probably far more comprehensive than my own – I’ll conclude by saying
that this movie should required viewing at some point (as should the
peace museums at Hiroshima and Nagasaki) for everyone.

You can go anywhere you want, if you want to.
